As a continuation of the 4 pillars of our lives of faith together, as shared by our district superintendent, using Acts 2:46-47

46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. The third pillar is devotion to Christian generosity.

In this context, generosity is not about supporting your local church, but yes we do need that. It is about generosity to this ein need around us. It is supporting Residing Hope and Isaiah House. Providing food to the local food pantries. It also includes sharing time with those around us when they need comfort or company. What does Christian Generosity mean to you? What would it look like if we became an even more genrous church?

Our online Bible Study journey is currently working on the Major Prophets which will be followed by the Wisdom Books (Job, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes). As a reminder, this is an opportunity to learn and share with others, but there is no expectation. You can pick up wherever we are!  If you are already part of the online Bible Study, you should have already received the invitation for the Major Prophets. Have you ever taken a disciples bible study?  I am going to teach Disciple I beginning in the fall. My plan is for us to meet on Wednesday evenings for 2 hours each week. Make note we meet for 34 weeks and you will be reading the majority of the Bible during this study. We will meet online to allow more people to participate. Below is information on what Disciple is.  If you are interested in this study, please register in the church center app so I can begin planning things out.

DISCIPLE is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. The study gives the Old and New Testaments equal time emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. DISCIPLE draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participant, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.

The first study in the program is DISCIPLE: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study. It serves as the basis for all other studies in the DISCIPLE family that follow. Over the course of 34 weeks, the study covers the entire Bible (Old and New Testaments) following the biblical story from Creation to the New Jerusalem.
